Two individuals are now facing charges following a suitcase robbery where a suspected capsaicin spray caused injuries at the major London air hub.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, have both been charged with two counts of robbery and charges for administering a noxious substance, as confirmed by court officials.

The charges follow an probe of an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on Sunday. Earlier that day, two women were robbed of their suitcases taken after getting out of a car park lift, authorities reported.

A toddler was caught up in the incident in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

The incident – described by police as was not part of a series and deemed non-terroristic – resulted in disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport road tunnel and the T3 parking area for a brief period.
