Plane Carrying Pete Hegseth Forced to Land in UK Due to Fracture in Cockpit Window

A plane transporting the US defense secretary was forced to make an emergency landing in the UK on Wednesday due to a fissure was discovered in the aircraft's cockpit window, according to an official announcement which confirmed that the secretary was unharmed.

"The aircraft touched down following established safety measures and all passengers, including Pete Hegseth, is secure," a spokesperson commented in a social media post.

Hegseth was returning from a quick journey to Brussels at the time.

This event does not mark the initial instance that a US military aircraft carrying a top government figure has suffered equipment failures.

Earlier this year, a American military jet carrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio to the German city of Munich was compelled to turn back to the US capital after encountering a technical issue.
