Iranian Forces State Strike on US Base in the Kingdom of Bahrain, During Widespread Counterattacks.
Iranian forces say they have struck a US naval base in Bahrain, as the country executed missile attacks across the region in response for a "massive" and ongoing attack targeting the nation by the US and Israel.
Huge plumes of black smoke were seen rising from an zone close to the command center of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain. The extent of any damage is not yet known and the US has remained silent.
Airspace Engagements
Elsewhere across the region, the UAE, the State of Qatar and the State of Kuwait - all home to American military installations - reported they have engaged and destroyed incoming projectiles in their air space.
In Doha, the Qatari Ministry of Defence stated it had intercepted several missiles apparently targeting the al-Udeid air base, the largest American base in the Middle East.
Operation "Truthful Promise 4"
Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) declared it was targeting American facilities and interests as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in response for the offensive on the Islamic Republic initiated by the United States and its ally Israel on Saturday.
That preceding assault - executed at around 06:15 GMT - has so far targeted areas linked to the Iranian leadership, with President Trump urging the Iranian people to revolt against the leadership.
Additional Developments
In the State of Israel, sirens were heard nationwide after the Israeli military stated it had identified an incoming Iranian missile barrage.
The Ministry of Defence of the United Arab Emirates said in a statement that the country has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"Emirati air defenses responded to the missiles with great effectiveness and destroyed a number of missiles," the statement continued.
It said debris landed in a neighborhood in Abu Dhabi, causing some material damage and the death of one civilian.
The US Air Force is stationed at the Al Dhafra base, south of Abu Dhabi, along with the Emirati Air Force.
